Error: There is not enough memory to run ScanDisk...due to Windows Setup.
Error:
There is not enough memory to run ScanDisk.
Cause:
There is not enough available conventional and/or upper memory to run Windows 95 'ScanDisk' during Windows 95 Setup.
Solution:
Exit Setup and run MEMMAKER.
1) Run MemMaker to optimize memory:
a) Type MEMMAKER at the DOS prompt and press ENTER.
b) Select 'Express Setup' (unless you are very experienced in memory management).
c) When asked if any programs require expanded memory (EMS), answer Yes or No (usually No).
d) Wait as MemMaker perform the following steps:
1] Reboot the PC.
2] Analyze the system to determine optimum memory set up.
3] Rewrite the Autoexec.bat and Config.sys files.
4] Reboot the system again.
e) Press ENTER to proceed
f) MemMaker asks if system is working properly:
1] Answer Yes by pressing ENTER if no error messages were displayed and the system appears to be working properly.
2] Answer No by pressing 'Spacebar' if system is not functioning properly. Follow instructions on screen. (MemMaker will perform additional setup changes.)
2) Run Windows Setup again.
